Hyperactivity First Aid Protocol

Hyperactivity is a signal, not the problem. Use this calming, sensory-first protocol BEFORE dysregulation peaks — best applied at predictable times (after meals or around 4pm).

This is not medical advice. Consult your doctor for all medical issues.

Use this protocol before dysregulation peaks — not in the middle of a full meltdown. The earlier you start Phase 1 at predictable trigger times, the less often you'll need Phase 2 or 3.

Phase 1

Pre-Peak (Prevention)

Begin when you know your child typically gets dysregulated — do not wait for the peak.

👐 Qigong Massage

A gentle, rhythmic pressure along the spine, arms, and neck to calm the nervous system. Watch the qigong massage video →

🌿 Essential Oils

Apply a calming blend (lavender + ylang ylang + chamomile) to the spine and wrists.

💧 Calcium Water

🧂 Salt Water

4–6 oz spring water + a pinch of mineral-rich salt to oxygenate the blood and support brain balance.

Phase 2

Threshold Calming

If Phase 1 doesn't settle the child — or you catch early signs of escalation.

🐘 Outdoor Reset

Take the child outside or open windows immediately for fresh air and natural light.

🌀 Vestibular Activity

Rebounding, spinning, swinging, or legs-up-the-wall to reset sensory input.

✋ Sand-in-Hand or Clay Squeeze

Engage the hands with repetitive, grounding sensory textures.

🧊 Ice-in-Palms (if warm)

Wrap ice in a cloth and place in the palms for a few minutes to redirect the nervous system.

Phase 3

Full Reset

If dysregulation continues after outside time and sensory input.

🛁 Detox Bath

Warm water with Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate). If your child reacts to sulfates (increased hyperactivity), use magnesium chloride flakes instead. See the detox bath recipe in the Master Guide →

🌿 Double the Oils

Reapply the calming essential oils to spine, neck, and feet. Get the oils →

🙌 Qigong Massage (Again)

Repeat the same slow, gentle massage to help regulate and seal in the calm. Watch the video →

Phase 4

Ready for Your Next Step?

The phases above handle the spike — the Hyperactivity Replay is what stops it from coming back.

Still seeing no change?

Mineral depletion is often driven by gut inflammation, parasites, or viral activity. The roller blend, oils, and detox baths handle the moment — but they don't reach the gut + nervous-system root that keeps the hyperactivity coming back.

That's exactly what Naana walks through in the Hyperactivity LIVE Coaching Replay →
